This year, we have decided to run our first St Patrick’s Day event, to give all of our dancers the opportunity to perform on stage in front of their parents and a chance to raise money for a great cause.
Event details – Saturday 19th March
We’re delighted to be hosting the event at Beverley Memorial Hall, a fantastic venue with a licensed bar, full stage and lighting and other fantastic facilities:
Beverley Memorial Hall
73-75 Lairgate, Beverley
The event starts at 6:00pm and will finish around 10pm. The Hall is in central Beverley, so for those of you who want to continue celebrating St Patrick’s Day there are lots of great pubs and bars nearby!
Food and Bar
We’re thrilled that the fantastic Kerbedge are coming to cater for us, and every ticket purchased includes a burger. Please hold on to your tickets, as the tear off slip is used as a voucher to redeem your delicious burger.
More information on Kerbedge is available on their website: Visit the Kerbedge website
There is a fully licensed bar on site, serving a range of drinks as well as soft drinks and snacks for children.
As well as our dancing showcase, we also have a number of other activities planned:
- Ceili dancing
- Live music from members of the Shiznits
- Raffle (with a chance to win a term of dance lessons among other prizes)
- Silent auction
Tickets are £10.00 each and are available to buy through Tara and Emily. The first round of tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 23rd February. The second round of tickets (if available) will go on sale on Monday 7th March.
Ticket allocation: Due to the size of the venue, each dancer will be able to purchase 2 tickets each on a first-come-first-served basis. After all dancers have let us know if they will be using their tickets, we will then offer the remaining tickets on Facebook with an additional 1 ticket per dancer allocated. There is no discounted fee for non-dancing siblings or friends and they will need to buy a ticket at full price due to the limited number of tickets available.
Dancers tickets: Dancers do not need to purchase a ticket to come to the event, but if they want to have a delicious Kerbedge burger, they will need to pay in advance for their food. They can choose from a simple smaller child option burger at £4.00 or alternatively order the full adult-size portion burger at £5.00. Dancers need to place and pay for their order prior to the event. Kerbedge is catering for the number of orders we make and will not be bringing spares (please don’t come thinking you’ll be able to pay on the night as there won’t be enough!)
Dancers need to arrive at 6.00pm and make their way straight to the dressing rooms backstage. Dancers wearing Costume 1 should arrive ready to dance and bring a change of party clothes with them in a separate bag. Dancers wearing costumes 2 and 3 can choose to arrive in their costume or get changed in the dressing room.
Dancers can leave their dance costume and shoes in the dressing room for the rest of the night and collect when they leave. Please make sure names are on bags/clothes so things don’t go missing.
